Title:  CBQ 4-4-2 #2555 - Chicago, Burlington & Quincy
Description:  Here is a good roster shot of and aging Chicago, Burlington & Quincy 4-4-2 Atlantic #2555. Burham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) built this 4-4-2 Atlantic type steam locomotive in February of 1902 as a Vauclain compound Chicago, Burlington & Quincy #1589 (serial #20161, class P-2). It was renumbered in 1904 to CBQ #2515. In 1917 it was rebuilt to a simple class P-5 Atlantic. In 1924, it was renumbered again to CBQ #2555. Finally after nearly 40 years of service, the loco was retired in June of 1942 and presumedly scrapped. Rebuilt P-5 specs - 78" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine wt of 194,800 lb and a modest tractive force of 26,200 lb. No date or photographer was given for this photo.
