Number 6173 was built in October 1955 as CB&Q SD9 371 (c/n 20581) on EMD Order 5399, became BN 6173, and was retired and traded to EMD during July 1985. Also seen is PNC 6306, built as SR SD24 6306 during October 1959 (c/n 25602) on EMD Order 5606. It became PNC 6306, was leased to the BN during 1979-1980, returned to PNC, later acquired by the ICG, rebuilt by the ICG into SD20 2017, later becoming IC 2017, then NREX 2017, then IHB 2920. |
