History-992 came to Iowa with sister 994 to work for the Colorado & Eastern's CB operation. She stayed as main power for the subsequent Council Bluffs & Ottumwa, then Great Western Rwy of Iowa d/b/a Council Bluffs Rwy. At this time, she was backup for GP7 714, and sister 994 had become parts supply. I had to do a lot of talking to get the TM to give permission to let me take this shot, but it was worth it. |
