Burlington Junction Railway |
Description: |
Although BJRY is well known now, they labored away virtually unknown for years. This Alco was the second engine on BJRY, with 44 ton GE #44 as the first unit. Getting a clean shot was hard in the cramped area they worked. |

Burlington Junction (BJRY)-Burlington |
Description: |
For years, BJRY used this leaser to serve its main operation over ex Rock Island yard track in Burlington. A favorite engine of mine, albeit always nose coupled. Even got a cab ride once, first ALCO I ever rode in. Firing up 1007 to switch out the wallboard transload facility on a 1994 visit. |
