CCET 2414 |
Description: |
Good morning from Ancor Ohio! Today TJ, AJ, and I decided to take a day to follow the Cincinnati Eastern Terminal Railway to document the still standing N&W CPL style signals that line the section of the Peavine that the CCET owns. When we arrived at the small yard in Ancor, the train was just departing toward Mariemont and the NS interchange. Pushing the train was the newly acquired CCET 2414, ex-NS 2414, exx-Southern 2414, built for the company shortly before the merger with N&W. CCET acquired this engine a couple months ago when NS began to auction off a majority of their older switchers. Also featured on the roster are two ex-CSX B36-7s, which we are hoping will be added to the train once at the Mariemont Yard. |

With the amount of traffic the train was not very easy to keep up with. We were able to get to the crossing on Church Street in Newtown to get a direct head on shot. |
