MDiv. Here is the first of two successive duplicate 35mm color slides of photos by Nelson Bowers that were taken in Marysville, Pennsylvania, in December of 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #762, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during May of 1915 and retired in November of 1957 after 42 years of faithful service. It's just entering the old yard at Marysville, which once held trains waiting to cross the PRR's first bridge across the Susquehanna River. ("Stoneborobranch"; #26 of 56) |
