Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred R. Kern that was taken just West of the 24th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 2 July 1955. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8507 and #8504. Both are ES-15M's built by GM-EMD in August of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. They're returning to the Altoona Passenger Station to await another helper-pusher run up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and back. ("Tchowee"; #35 of 40)
