Built in 1955 by StLCC in Lot #1784 as C&NW 169 seat gallery coach #1, 1 of 16 such cars (#1-#16) built in that Lot, which was ordered in November 1953; cars were delivered between March and June 1955. Besides #8 and #9 which had been reconfigured to commuter clubs, the other 14 cars were renumbered to RTA/METX #7600-#7613, the #1 as #7600. #8 and #9 were renumbered to #7900 and #7901. IRM has returned this car to C&NW Green & Yellow, but as #6 instead of as #1. EXIF: 4:24 PM, f/2.7 @ 1/350 |
