This is quite a unique locomotive that was the threshhold for 87 more 4-12-2 wheel arrangements. This first model was built by Alco-Brooks in March of 1926. The loco served for nearly 30 years before being donated to the R&LHS Exhibition at the County Fairgrounds in Pomona, CA in May of 1956. Specs - 67" drivers, 220 psi boiler pressure, one 27x31" cylinders and two 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 495,000 lb, impressive tractive effort of 96,650 lb.
