NRLX 57050 began life on the New York Central System. This car was built 6/67 for the NYC right before the PC merger. Notice where the NRLX painted out the old PC reporting marks and road number you can just see the "C" in "PC" and the last 2 digits of the original road number written in old NYC style numbersand the PC logo on the end of the hopper was painted black signifying it was painted at an NYC shop when repainted. You can also see the NYC logo bleeding thru the PC jade green so badly weathered. |
