This will be in my top pics of the year. Really long-distance shot of rare CP meet at the Brookfield/Robbins West interchange. But it's the horizon that propels this pic up the favourite list. The two Welland Canal bridge towers indicate the direct path of the long-abandoned right of way through Dain City. The bridge is still in use by Trillium Railways, but hasn't been raised since 1972 - when the canal was re-routed away from the City of Welland in a massive civil/marine engineering project. |
