PRR 5417, K-4S, c. 1952
Boulton. Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer taken at Meadows Yard near Kearny, New Jersey, c. 1952. At the left is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5417, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in August of 1955 after 28 years of faithful service. In the center are the sanding towers and the coaling wharf. At the far right is a P-5A electric. Many thanks to Mr. Robert Hess for identifying this location correctly.
