Fine example of a 2-8-2 Mikado built by the PRR Juniata Shops. This one, #860, was built in July of 1915 with serial #2954 and a class L1 member. Of the 574 Mikados that the Pennsy once had on its roster, only one survives today. It's #520 at the RR Museum of Pennsylvania. Specs - serial #2954, L1 class, 62" drivers, 205 spi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylindeers, engine weight of 315,000 lb, tractive effort of 61,465 lb. This loco was scrapped in February of 1955. J.R.
