Wallington (NY) junction - 1 of 2
NYC signal guarding the junction with the PRR. The view is from the west side looking to the east (toward Oswego). NYC (and later PC and OMID) obtained permission to cross by opening a small cabinet and holding down a button for 5 seconds (I *think* it was 5), which in turn ran down a timer in the signal circuit and eventually gave the NYC crew a restricted proceed (yellow over red). Once the crew cleared the circuit, the signals timed out once again and gave it back to the PRR. Years later, OMID crews ran it in the same fashion even though they owned both lines.
