Hollidaysburg. Here is enlarged portion of an official Pennsylvania Railroad photo that was taken from atop the wooden coaling wharf in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, c. 1915. Prominent here is a large number of retired steam locomotives which will soon be scrapped. Perhaps Isaac M. Burket ~ my maternal grandfather ~ fired and drove some of these aged locomotives. He worked for the PRR from 1900 to 1950 ~ 50 years! William E Burket Collection. |
