| Both the city and Cameron County were eager to get BRG and UP trains off the streets. A new bypass opened up in the Fall of 2003 with a new yard at Olmito. This allowed this street running to be eliminated. Harrison and 7th St; the tracks swung to the left where the city jail was "notched" to provide clearance for passing trains |
