Frankstown. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trackage in Frankstown, Pennsylvania, around noon on 17 October 1965. This photo was taken from the elevated platform where sand was dumped into waiting hopper cars. The two tracks on the left are the very western end of the Frankstown-Petersburg Secondary Line. Also visible are the Juniata River on the far left, the bridge over the River, US Route 22 on the right, and some buildings in the village of Frankstown in the distance. |
