| L&N U3OC 1499 & 1 more U30C lead a northbound unit coal train out of Etowah, Tennessee c. 1973. 1499 is still in her special XR "Xtra Reliability" paint that she was delivered in from GE, but within a few years would be repainted into L&N gray. This was the only time dad managed to catch 1499 in this paint, unfortunately. |
