Denver & Rio Grande Western was known for its tunnel motors and other big SDs, as well as an interesting fleet of 4 axle EMD's, which at that time included GP 30's. They also had some switchers. One is seen here from the Amtrak Desert Wind. Note the hi rail front end loader to the right of the SW. |
