| BN NW2's 510 and 518 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in April 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. I do not know if these locomotives were MU-able in the BN era, when they were built for the CB&Q, the NW2's could not MU. Number 510 was built in April 1941 as CB&Q NW2 9213 (c/n 1294) , re# BN 510 after merger, retired by the BN May 1983. Number 518 was built in August 1946 as CB&Q NW2 9221 (c/n 3617), re# BN 518 after merger, retired by the BN in June 1982. |
