| CHAMA NM Nov 1971 -- This is one om my first photos as a neophyte railfan. I was two years out of the Navy and just getting back into model railroading and decided to give taking pictures of trains a try. It was the first year of operation for the C&TS and and my quick visit to Chama yielded this shot. If I could have stuck around another day a worker said I could have gone out on the work train and helped with track maintenance. Sadly, I couldn't and now such an opportunity is much harder to come by. |
