Remains of bridge over Calument Creek at Main Street Connection with rail and switches still in place
As late as the late 1970s, the A&WP delivered boxcars full of lumber to Newman Building on East Depot Street. The spur was cut back and all switches removed around the CTX main when the yard was moved to Orchard Hill Road in the LaGrange Industrial Park. The spur, however, still lies in the woods and crosses the creek and runs into a locfed rail gate, locked for the last time some 30 years ago.
