SWP 2002, AVR 2005, NREX 8749  Contributor's Pick!
The rare sight of these three engines working together is due to the fact that one of the SWPs engines is broken down. So an AVR (Allegheny Valley Railroad) engine was brought down from Pittsburgh to lend a hand. After doing numerous very complicated railcar switching jobs in Everson, the train finally crosses Jacobs Creek into Scottdale, with an equal amount of engines and cars. After a brief stop in Scottdale, their next destination is Greensburg. SWP and AVR are subsidiaries of Carload Express Inc., which is why they have an identical scheme. Also SWP 2002 was used in the famous "Unstoppable" movie for the locomotive on the excursion train that barely avoided hitting the runaway train.
