BWCX. Here is an original 35mm color slide by George C. Benson that was taken at the Berwind Corporation's Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in the Summer of 1976. Shown here is their GS-4 diesel-electric engine that was purchased from the Pennsylvania Railroad during 1964. Originally numbered "9328," it was built by General Electric in June of 1948 and rated at 380 horsepower. In this context, it's been painted red, white, and blue in recognition of the Bicentennial Celebration. |
