This electric car with open platforms, designed mainly for transporting coal, goods and materials for work on the road, was built in the workshops of Companhia Carris de Ferro do Porto in 1915. As the platforms are open, on rainy days, the brakeman had to wear a large cloak, wide-brimmed hat, rubber boots andinsulating gloves to protect him from water and contact with electricity.
