| The 4014 made several public stops this day, as it would the next in Colorado. A couple were posted on the website; some, like Ellis earlier in the day, were not. All of them gave the legion of chasers a chance to catch their breath and get some local shots and get ahead. This would not be much of a factor in the chase strategy between Hays and Oakley, where I 70 was the chase road, but would make a difference later on.
