Baldwin built this 2-6-0 originally as a Vauclain compound 2-6-0 in September of 1901 , but it was simplified in July of 1909. A new boiler added in June of 1913 - superheated in May of 1919 at Sparks - leased to SP de M between 3/3145 to 5/9/1945. The loco was finally "vacated" (retired) and sold for scrap in September of 1954. Final specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x28" cylinders, engine wt of 184,700 lb & tractive effort of 33,320 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo. |
