Album Info:Some parting pictures of ex-Great Northern 187, a rare EMD NW-5 locomotive. Next week it will be scrapped. The pictures of it are taken coupled up to a sister model GMD-1. Built some 10 years apart, and by two different divisions of EMD, they both served a useful function for the grain branchlines - GN 187, of Montana and North Dakota; ex-CN 1413, of Alberta, Sasatchewan and Manitoba.
