This ex Buffalo Creek & Gauley 2-8-0 was at what would become the National NYC Museum in Elkhart. Don't know what became of it; the museum traded GG 1 4903 to Dallas for NYC Mohawk 3001, which is at the museum today. Seen from the Lake Shore. Please see the comment from Nicholas Katz below. |

It was later pulled out and restored, and is now again the subject of a restoration effort. In 1984, it was sitting in the crook of the curve, taking in the Conrail action. |

The Susquehanna Valley NRHS had some equipment on display at the ex DLW station for a number of years. This ex Southern E 8 was the feature, but more local items included several Erie cars and EL caboose 316. Restoration candidate |
Description: |
NJT 4334, a former Southern E 8, sits at the Susquehanna Valley RHS display on the set out tracks at the Binghamton DLW station. The original plan was to restore the unit to Erie or EL paint, with the hope of eventually getting it into running condition. As happens all too often, funding and available hands fell short. The engine was eventually moved to Elmira, but not til after the new ballfield was built on the site of the DLW freight house, leaving the equipment on the set out tracks land locked. Panel track had to be laid to get everything out. |

A long way from home |
Description: |
This Erie S 1 somehow wound up in Galena Kan. It sits behind a small restaurant on a piece of panel track. The area was once home to several lead and zinc mines, and was covered with a spider web of tracks. Almost all of them are now gone. |

SP blades |
Description: |
This album was originally envisioned to cover rolling stock, but these signals, now removed to the grounds at the Rock/SP station at Tucumcari, have been nicely restored as display pieces, and thus meet the definition. A set of SP lower quadrant semaphores, which until fairly recently-the last 20 years or so-protected traffic on the line from here to El Paso. |
