Album Info:On March 1st 2009 winter brought a unexpected surprise. As i was running model trains at our clubs show in Easley, SC outside the precipitation was slowly changing from rain to snow. By the time we were ready to leave it was coming down hard. The ride back took 4 hours instead of the normal two. when i arrived in Athens i had to walk from the main road to my house as our street was blockaded by fallen pines. The next day dawned bright and clear and after inspecting the neighborhood i decided to try and get to the tracks. Since the road was blocked i thought of taking the bus there but after i missed that i decided to walk it. Turned out to be a good decision and i went and inspected the damage on the old - CofG, several trees down on the ROW. After a short trip downtown i made it to the depot where i found CSX 5961 idling away. Soon the Y111 chugged off with the 5961 spewing huge clouds of carbon into the atmosphere. After an agonizingly long wait Q667 finally showed up and made a stop at the CofG crossing before proceeding. After Q667 sat around while switching fowler, Q675 showed up in the last light of day, after which i left, thankfully i got a ride so i didnt have to walk back.
